Welcome to MARCHET

Teachers in higher education are dealing with a new generation of students. For these students, technology is part of their lives. This means that teachers have to look at their education in a different way. They not only need insight in the principles of learning, they also have to be able to decide whether the use of a technology enhances this learning and to choose the most effective didactical approach.

MARCHET aims at improving student success by professionalizing teachers in the use of technology in a didactical sound manner. To reach this goal, MARCHET provides teachers with 4 online modules. The themes of these modules are:
- collaborative knowledge building
- web 2.0
- measuring knowledge and insight
- supervising students in distance learning

Target audience

MARCHET is developed for teachers, teacher trainers and experts in the domain of educational technology, in higher education.

These modules are a result of the MARCHET project. This project is part of the National Actionplan e-Learning of the SURFfoundation. Participating institutes include the University of Amsterdam, Hogeschool van Amsterdam (Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences), University of Utrecht, Eindhoven University of Technology and Maastricht University. The project runs from October 1, 2009 until October 1, 2011.
